What Does The Idiom "I Went Nuts.." Mean?

 The picture below is from the film " How Do You Know". This note caught my attention so I'm sharing this to all the  students of Aja Aja English.

Go nuts - to become crazy, confused , or discouraged 


Example sentence:
      I went nuts when the conductor  asked  me to  pay the                fare but I couldn't find my wallet anywhere.
